I love David Baldacci, but this was not as compelling as usual. After reading most of this author's books with different levels of satisfaction (most of them well above average) this one was for me the definitive bottom. Also, one character transforms 180 degrees within a couple of pages. There's a problem loading this menu right now. Maybe because it’s older, and he has got better.
Love Dirk Pitt adventures? Start by marking “Last Man Standing” as Want to Read: Error rating book. It's certainly better-edited than some recent stuff out there.

It has a unique hero, Web London an FBI agent whose face had been mutilated on his left side from an earlier job. A big let down from one of my favourite authors. Shocking no, thrilling yes.

After slogging through so many unfulfilling, boring pages, that's ridiculous to me.
